What Does Traditional Wedding Stationery Include?

Did you Know!? KAE provides all couples with a complimentary wedding website that can be personalized and emailed out to all guests. This provides live updates for your guests! Some of our couples prefer to send all guest information out digitally.

If you prefer traditional stationery, the items listed below will be important to purchase.

1. Save the Dates - Save the dates are typically sent out six to eight months before the wedding. They give your guests a heads-up that the wedding is coming up and allow them to mark their calendars. Save the dates can be as simple or as elaborate as you want them to be. Some popular options include photo cards, magnets, and postcards.

2. Wedding Invitations - Wedding invitations are the most important piece of stationery you'll need for your wedding. They provide all of the essential details about the event, such as the date, time, and location. Wedding invitations should be sent out six to eight weeks before the wedding. Make sure to include an RSVP card so that guests can let you know if they'll be attending.

3. RSVP Cards - RSVP cards are an important part of the wedding invitation suite. They allow your guests to let you know if they'll be attending the wedding or not. Make sure to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the RSVP card to make it easy for guests to respond.

4. Ceremony Programs - Ceremony programs are a nice touch that can help guests follow along with the ceremony. They typically include the order of events, the names of the wedding party, and any readings or songs that will be performed. Ceremony programs can be as simple or as elaborate as you want them to be.

5. Reception Menus - If you're having a seated dinner at your reception, you'll need to provide menus for your guests. Reception menus can be included as part of the place settings or displayed on a separate table. Make sure to include any dietary restrictions or special requests on the menu.

6. Thank You Cards - Finally, you'll need to send out thank you cards after the wedding to thank your guests for attending and for any gifts they may have given you. Thank you cards should be sent out within a few weeks of the wedding. Make sure to personalize each card by mentioning the specific gift or gesture that the guest provided.

Traditional wedding stationery includes save the dates, wedding invitations, RSVP cards, ceremony programs, reception menus, and thank you cards. With these items, your wedding will be a beautiful and memorable event.
