The Broadmoor Hotel & Resort
We had the privilege of working with Sara + Tyler this past June on their elegant wedding at The Broadmoor Hotel & Resort in Colorado Springs, CO. Here are some of our favorite highlights!
The Couple
One of the things that drew us to Sara & Tyler is how laid-back they both are. We had similar styles & tastes which allowed us to bring their wedding to life more fully.
Sara has a refined, "laidback-luxury" style and was drawn to more elegant yet fun and contemporary touches.
The entire wedding felt very European-inspired and the backdrop of the Broadmoor really brought the mood to light.
Everything from the candleholders to the custom-printed menus and beyond was artfully curated to create a personalized experience for the couple and their guests.
The Vibe
Did we mention European-inspired?
Walking into Sara + Tyler's wedding felt like walking down a French courtyard, past the incredible markets with their umbrellas, fresh flowers, wines and more.
It was a perfect summer day and you could feel the love, intentionality and calmness of the event in its entirety.
The guests were enjoying the beautiful scenery on arrival with a casual-coolness (a certain je ne sais quoi you could say) that perfectly fit the mood.
Champagne in hand, the wedding was soon underway!
The Ceremony
We created a 16 ft floral aisle for Sara + Tyler's beautiful lawn ceremony by the Broadmoor's West Tower.
White chairs were angled for a mountain backdrop and lined with lush aisle arrangements composed of hollyhocks, cosmos, giant allium, petunias, dill, peach mums, and more. Over 150 hollyhock stems were used. It was gorgeous!
Due to unforeseen weather and time constraints, our in-house floral team had to think on the fly to create an alternative look that still matched the wedding theme. Despite this last-second change, the outcome was incredible!
Our team built the entire aisle in under 40 mins, LIVE on-site.
Our Favorite Personal Touch
Sara + Tyler did not want or need flower girls to walk down the aisle. However, we did need a creative way to let get guests know where they would be sitting for reception. We also wanted to create a true experience for the guests.
So, our KAE staff dressed in summer flower dresses and handed out individual flower stems, with each guest's name and seating location tied to them. They were officially flower girls!
The paper we used was all handmade with dried botanicals and everything was custom printed in-house by our team.
The guests loved it!!!!!
Our 2nd Favorite Touch
For the Welcome Table, we played off of Sara's guest book idea of using an Italian cookbook for guests to sign.
We styled the entire table with items inspired by the cookbook, like tomatoes, artichokes, potted fresh herbs and more!
Even the card basket was meant to evoke the feeling of a European shopping basket.
It was also a huge favorite of the guests and even the Broadmoor staff was over the moon in love with the concept.
The Bouquet... In All It's Glory
Sara's bouquet was truly a work of art. We actually grew the lilies you see here in our very own cutting garden. All other items were grown locally in Colorado by various flower farms.
It's our favorite bouquet of the 2024 season, especially because we had full creative freedom on designing it and selecting the product we liked.
It has been a huge hit and we've received many compliments on it from our industry.
Hand-tied with silk dyed botanical ribbon from Silk & Willow.
Moral of the Love Story...
If you are looking for a Full-Service team to create your "fairytale dream wedding" (as described by Sara + Tyler's guests) then we are your jam! We pair "laidback-luxury" with modern and personalized elements to create one-of-a-kind events that will shine and stand out from the masses.
We work with couples who genuinely care about the experience and the individuality of their love.
